Hello all. From time to time I get information on a product that I think is worth sharing. First, I'm not selling anything. What I am about to give to you is free. Not from me, but from the originator.

It is called RV Tracker by B.W and Carol Gentry. Here is a quote from an email I received: "We want anyone interested to email us for the download link so we'll be able to notify them of periodic updates once we have their email address. We respect everyone's privacy and promise to not let anyone else have their email address." (emaito:rvtrackerprogram@gmail.com)

Here was my situation. I heard about the RV Tracker on the MOC Forum. I was interested, but I do understand that .exe files will not run on the MAC. Well, not my MAC! So I emailed B.W. and I had a response immediately. He then arranged to have a .zip file available for me to download. I looked at the program using Open Office, but, as stated on the web site, Microsoft Excel is the better tool for using this RV Tool.

Again, this is not for sale. It is free, and it is specially designed around RV'ers. it is RV Tracker. Now I just need to load MS Office back on the MAC.

Happy trails.

Wayne,
What exactly IS RV Tracker?
I ask because I don't blindly go to web sites from 'links' in posts or emails.

The site is safe. I run Web Of Trust (WOT) software, and Norton's, and both report the site safe. I also have visited the site. It is developed by a full timer and he is a fellow RV'er. I don't believe he is out to sabotage anyone.

Here is a quote from his site:
"The Greatest Feature of this program is that it brings together, all in one place, all aspects of RVing. Whether it's recording data, keeping important records about your RV, or information files such as RV Park/Campground Locations, Fueling Locations, RV Popular Shopping Locations, and too many others to list here. This can be kept on a laptop computer, iPad, even a SmartPhone (with Excel app) right by your side while traveling. Great Tool for your Co-Pilot or Navigator. You don't have to be Online to use it even though there are hundred of Internet Links embedded in the program for use when you are connected."

I just saw the post before this one. I guess we were posting about the same time. Boywonder is the Author of the program so I defer to him. I told him about iRV2 and here he is.

I know this is an old thread but I wanted to weigh in on RV Tracker. I just downloaded it and started playing with it/using it the other day. So far I'm very happy with it's capabilities. I think it will do a good job tracking things I'm interested in as well as serve as a resource for the points of interest mentioned by boywonder.

If you like to track your RV expenses, fuel economy, etc. this seems to be a good way to do it. Also, you can use the features you want/need and ignore the others.

It is fairly intuitive but the instruction manual is comprehensive and easy to follow for computer users of all levels.
