I came across an app in the Apple App Store today called EasySat. It looks like it might make setting up a satellite antenna a little easier. Has anyone tried this or a similar iPhone app?

Thanks.
There are two Dishpointer apps. One is DP Augmented Reality and the other is DP AR Pro. Which one do you guys use?

I have DishPointerPro and wouldn't be without it. I hosted this past summer at a state park in Florida and I don't remember how many campers I helped find a spot to put their dish besides setting up my own.

As far as I can tell, the only difference between the two is that with the Pro version you can add info for satellites not listed. Worth it if you're an installer, but if you're only using it for Sat TV and those sats are listed, probably not.
I use the non-Pro version and it works fine for me.

I plan to get the pro version whenever we can start going again, right now DW is recovering from open heart surgery and I from total knee replacement surgery. But after the end of January we should be good to go again and I will get the app.

I really like the fact that neither version requires cell phone reception or the Internet.
Thanks everyone for your always valuable input!

FYI Folks:
I emailed the DishPointer developer and explained how I would be using his app as an RVer, and asked him which app would be best. He said the non-pro version is all I will need for that type of situation.

Not an iPad 1, it doesn't have a rear camera. Not sure if the iPad 2 has the compass and gyros needed. Check the description in the App Store, it'll say what devices it works on.

Joe is correct, it will not work on the iPad 1.
The Apple app store shows it's only available for the iPhone. Some iPhone apps will work on the iPad, but I would email the app developer for a definite answer.
Here's his email address: support@dishpointer.com
