I have a Sat. dish on top of the RV but sometimes cannot get Sat. programs due to trees, etc. I have gotten a "mobile" dish on a tripod.

My question is.....

Where would I connect the cable from the mobile Sat. dish?

I have a "in" connection for cable hookup in the bay and an additional cable hookup in the compartment where there is an outside TV.

Inside the coach I have the selector for cable, Sat., VCR, Aux. and Antenna for 3 TV's.

Comments?

Thanks,
David

David, you will have to make a slight modification to your setup in the AV cabinet.

You can use the cable connection in the bay, but will have to add an A/B switch in the cabinet. See here:

http://www.bobhatch.com/satStuff/pages/IMG_2568.htm

I have recently added a second A/B switch from the rooftop dish an A/B switch.

The way it is now connected is A/B switch one (original) defaults in the A position as cable connection. The B switch feeds the B input on A/B switch 2.

A/B switch 2, (the new one), when in the A position feeds the input to the DTV receiver from the rooftop dish. When in the B position the feed from the B connection on switch one will feed the receiver from the tripod dish.

If this is not clear, I'll try to draw a diagram and post it on my web site.
