Does anybody have a serius satelite radio in their unit, and if so can you recommend a good method or product for an antenna. The radio I am using was a portable in my former tow vehicle and I have mounted it in my TT. The only problem I have is getting a good signal just using the former antenna. I created an aluminum bracket on the slide and mounted the original vehicle antenna there, but do not get good reception. Any help or recommendations would be appreciated.

I just pookied (that's a highly technical term that I can explain if needed) a 4x4" piece of aluminum to the roof of my MH, bought a magnetic antenna and I always have perfect reception.

I ran the antenna cable through the refrigerator vent, then attached the antenna to the roof with a liberal application of Dicor sealant. It's been up there for three years, hasn't moved yet. You need to make sure that wherever you park, the antenna has an unobstructed view of the southern sky. My Sirius radio in the truck will lose signal when traveling down a road with trees that branch out over the road and block the sun.

I have a question...are you sure that the metal you used is aluminum? A magnetic antenna will not attach to a non-ferrous metal such as aluminum. More than likely if the antenna sticks it is steel sheet as opposed to aluminum.

It was aluminum (so it would'nt rust), but I attached the antenna with industrial double sided tape.
