Satellite switching King Dome 9700

We recently purchased a vehicle with King Dome installed It has a hand unit for switching satellites. We got dish network with everything pkg The problem is we can get in all the satellites but it will only lock in one satellite at a time. Does anyone know if I need an upgrade to this unit Thank you Mary

Mary, I am far from a satellite expert...but I believe that any of the dome antennas can only lock in one satellite at a time. Automatic domed satellite systems access multiple satellites by “toggling,” between them when the customer changes channels with the receiver’s remote control. As a result of "toggling,” automatic domed satellite systems will only receive signal from one satellite at a time. (If my understanding is wrong, someone will be along soon to correct me. )
