We have a dome and a tripod, use the tripod most of the time because of trees. I would like to use the dome most of the time, but trees.

Well I'm going to present another point of view. We got the permanent type installed on our roof when we bought our MH and wish we hadn't. In our cross country trip we've only been able to use it ~40% of the time because of tree cover. Many of our campgrounds in the mountains have been very forested and during summer in other spots we needed the extra cover. For us the rooftop install was a complete waste of money. If you want to be sure of TV access I would go with the tripod. Nina
