I've got KVH-R6 with 2 Direct TV receivers up front. 1-receiver hard wired to Front TV works great. 2nd-receiver through RCA wireless signal to rear TV works intermittently. 2-receivers side by side conflict with each other. Wireless transmitter is inconsistent. Hard wire front to back 2nd receiver would solve. Don't think have wiring? Can I add it? Where? Who would add it? Winne?Freightliner? Ideas? Thanks.

You should be able to use your BR TV cable from the video selector switch. If you want both the satellite feed and the Off Air from the batwing antenna you would need to install a diplexer at each end. You would also have to by-pass the splitter in the outside entertainment center. Then you could install the second receiver in the BR. You wouldn't be able to use the TV jack in the outside entertainment center.

John, are you saying run the satellite signal thru the video selector to the rear and move the 2nd receiver to the rear to pick up the satellite signal? My goal is to have 2-different satellite channels at the same time with channel changing in the rear for rear and the front for the front. Thanks.

You would need to disconnect the cable that runs from the rear of the control center to TV2 and use that cable to send the signal from your satellite antenna to the back receiver/TV. This will take the capability to watch anything other than satellite on the rear TV out of the loop but you can use a series of A/B switches up front and in the rear with with the right combination will give you one or the other.
John Hilley mentions being able to use a diplexer and this may be possible but I am not sure how that setup would work.

Bill, with the diplexer the satellite signal from the dish would be connected on the satellite side of the diplexer and the off air antenna to the antenna side. Actually if the TV2 output from the switch was connected to the antenna side of the diplexer, the BR TV would have all the features of the switch - off air antenna - VCR/DVD - Aux - even the other satellite receiver.

You can piggyback the sat signal onto the RF feed coming out of the video switcher. Remove the line coming out of the switcher that goes to the bedroom. Connect that line to the "combined" output of a diplexer. Use a short cable to connect the BR out of the video switcher to the "antenna" input on the diplexer. Connect the 2nd sat feed to the "sat" input on the diplexer.

In the bedroom, connect another diplexer to the cable coming from the video switcher. Run one short cable from the "sat" connector to the sat receiver, and another short cable to the antenna in on your TV. You'll need to connect the outputs of the sat receiver to (preferably) S-video or composite (RCA) in, plus the RCA audio jacks.

If the TV only has an antenna in (no S-video or composite/analog audio), then you'll need an A-B switch to select between the video switcher and the sat receiver.

Make sure you're getting diplexers and not splitters. Here's one listed on Amazon:

Channel Vision makes good stuff. A little pricey, but higher quality than what you're likely to find at home depot or other big box stores.

Actually you can just put the TV2 switch output carried on the antenna side of the diplexer in the off air antenna input of the satellite receiver. With the switch set to DVD/VCR - ANT - Aux for TV2 and the receiver in TV mode you just need to set the TV to Ch 3 or 4 or the off air channel desired. You will have to by-pass the splitter in the outdoor entertainment center if you have one

Thanks for advice, am sure is a good plan but above my capabilities. Who is best to do it? Local Winne dealer or Freightliner dealer or some other specialist? We live in Dallas/Fort Worth TX area. Thanks again.

Assuming that there is room, the most logical solution is to place the 2nd receiver in the bedroom and run a new cable from the antenna to the rear location. This allows everything to work just as it should. The VCC will still send a signal to the rear and the satellite receiver works like an A/B switch. Turn the receiver on and you get satellite. Turn it off and you get whatever the VCC is set to.
There is a great guy in the Ft. Worth area who could likely handle this job for you. I have worked with him many times and the is quite detail oriented. His name is Allen Beadel and his company is Broadband-to-go. His phone number is 817-368-1844. Tell him Bill sent ya!
He would need to take a look at what you wanted and to ensure that he could access the various components and have the proper roof access but if he's able to do it you would save a lot of money compared to a dealer service center.

Probably your best bet would be a place like Best Buy or a satellite TV installer that also does home entertainment systems. It is very easy and I would be glad to PM instructions to an installer or even talk to them on the phone. Do you have room for the satellite receiver in the BR?

Wow, John, Best Buy!??! for a motorhome installation? These folks have little of no knowledge about a setup used in a motorhome and have likely NEVER seen or even know of a VCC!
You need to seek out a professional knowledgeable in the intricacies of RV installations.
