Three pointers.
1) Using Alt-PrtSC captures the open window, rather than the entire screen. This is useful if you don't want other stuff to appear in the screenshot, such as your Desktop.
2) Using the Paint application (Included with Windows, under "Start/All Programs/Accessories"), you can crop unwanted stuff out of the screenshot.
3) If you use a PDF "Printing" application, you can print from any application to Adobe PDF. It can be used in concert with aa screenshot application; for instance, after cropping with Paint you can "print" to PDF (instead of saving as JPEG/GIF/PNG, etc. within Paint. The PDF "printer" I've used for years is "CutePDF Writer." It's free. The link to download it is
here. To use it, select "CutePDF" as the "printer" from any application, pick a place to save the PDF file created, press "OK."
