Has anyone seen or used these dish mounts on thier rv's? Secure Mount Inc. They say they support up to 160lbs. Obviously you'd still need to take it down if there's a suspected storm coming. But, I would guess it's strong enough for your average wind gust. Just curious if anyone has any info / thoughts?

Unless they have something else, this mount will not handle any dish larger than the 20 inch dish I believe is used by Direct TV.

If their mount had a triangular set of suction cups it would be much better.

Good point about the third mount. Guess I'll stick to my tri-pod.

I use the secure mount when I am on the road and have had no problem with it.
At base camp I have a DirecTV HD (Slimline 5) dish secured in concrete, on the road I use the smaller AU9-SL3 Triple LNB. Haven't had to deal with any high winds yet but haven't had any problems with SecureMount. Just be sure to follow their directions and do not apply the suction cups over any decals. Also spray the suction cups with cooking spray. Have used one for up to two weeks at a time and never had to re-adjust the dish.
