Thinking of adding sat radio to the MH.
Please help me with the differences and or your experiences.

We've only ever had Sirius, so have no experience with XM. I'm not sure how much difference there is between the two now that Sirius bought out XM...you might want to go to each website and see if one has programming that the other doesn't that's important to you.
At the time we opted for Sirius, they had 3 NPR stations and XM had none...which is why we selected Sirius. Sirius is now down to 2 NPR stations and XM has at least one.

In my opinion, a coin toss. Our MH has Sirius, car and house use XM. Virtually no difference between the two. Several channels even broadcast the same thing simultaneously. Costs are virtually the same.
One difference is in the activation and billing. They both still use their own websites and procedures. Otherwise same-o, same-o. Your choice.

FWIW Sirius in coach and toad, no problem. XM in other Chevy and many drop out spots that the Sirius never has a problem with. Years ago someone said the Sirius satellite orbit was in a better position, not sure if that is still true.

I have had XM since they started and would not be without it. We have a portable Roady so I keep it in car when not RVing. We just use the dash antenna. Did have slight reception problems traveling in RV in some areas and directions but on last trip all across the country we put the antenna on a Klennex box near windshield and never lost reception.
Probably need to look at both for sports coverage. I like the golf channel on XM but otherwise them are about the same.
We have found it well worth our money and time and would not be without it.

We have both and prefer Sirius. In my wifes old minivan she had a sirius car kit. During drives to Denver, Springs or Pueblo she never lost service. Her new Chevy has XM and there are lots of spots that drop out and lose service. My Dodge truck does not lose service in the same areas/time/weather that her Traverse does. (I was following her home on that trip).
We use the Sirius tuner in a boom box in the camper. They must have earthboud transmitters because most times I do not have to put the little antenna outside. Just my .02.

Wouldn't touch either of them with a barge-pole. In the last 20 years, I can count on the thumbs of one foot how many times I've turned the radio on in the family car.

I wouldnt be without it, we have XM. Now they have merged they are almost the same. We can get news anywhere and some weather and traffic for major cities. Old time radio is our favorite at bedtime, those stories put us to sleep.
I have the base in car, truck, and Motorhome, just take the radio to which ever vehicle we are traveling in.

Its not $20 per month, it is $13 per month. If you ask for a special they will give it to you, I am currently paying only $5 per month with XM for over a year.

Where did you hear that Limbaugh is on either satellite service?
Getting back on topic, I've had both and there is a lot of overlap. I generally listened to the Blue Collar channel. They have some really good comedians, including several I'd never heard of. The Blue Collar channel is available on both services since they've merged. If I want music, I play my own. The comedy channels are something you won't find on AM or FM.

Thank you for the input. I was hoping to make my own station selection AFTER I made the decision of XM or sirius.
