Last weekend a guy that owns a Forest River Charleston model motorhome showed me his mid-mounted flat screen TV slide mount that was really cool. When underway with a in-motion satellite system and the front left slide in you can pull the TV out into the aisle and lock it in the extended position. I know about the driver not being allowed to see the TV while going down the road, but I did a Google search and came up with nothing about a sliding TV mounting. Anybody know where these are sold? Thanks.

Not sure if this will work for you but we bought a swivel arm mount that allows the flat screen to be centered in a hole I cut in the mid ship wall. It allows me to move the tv up, down, and side ways. When the slide is in you cannot view the TV screen. I can just as easily move the arm towards the center of the isle and allow the passengers to watch tv if I had in-motion satellite.

Yes, if you plan on mounting on a horizontal shelf. I purchased and installed model TV40-001H made by MOR-RYDE MOR/ryde - Products - Aftermarket - TV Mounts If you google "mor ryd tv mount" you will find vendors.

These mounts are made specifically for RVs. It locks in place while riding. There is a latch that you lift to release, that allows you to pull it out about 12 inches where it also can lock in place. You can also rotate about 45 degrees left or right and also tilt up and down. Cost about $150. Easy to install (about 4 bolts on the bottom and the standard VESA plate to attach to the TV.
