Follow up note on this thread....on 6-20-15, one week after the smoke event happened, I woke up in the morning and couldn't drink my coffee, diagnosed with Bells Palsy.
Now almost 3 months later, I recognized that night and the stress and horror of what could have happened brought on the Bells Palsy.
I am almost completely recovered from the Bells with a few minor issues remaining, but just make sure you replace ALL your capacitors when replacing your fan motor in your A/C units folks! No reason not to do that. I replaced the fan motor capacitor, not the run capacitor, and paid a BIG price for it, and could have even paid a bigger price had it caught fire, so again I say, the moral of the story, REPLACE ALL CAPACITORS WHEN REPLACING YOUR FAN MOTOR!
One more lesson:
DON'T leave your kids in the coach without and emergency backup evacuation plan for them, a neighbor, the park, someone to watch out, because in a few minutes they could be gone along with it in the event of a fire and there's not a thing you can do about it from miles away watching remotely on your Dropcam or other apps that you think makes everything ok.....SAFETY FIRST!
