Have anybody bought solar panels from this dealer - ul-solar? Dealer looks like he manufacturing the panels himself. He is based in Las Vegas.

Price looks good so I am interested in what the quality is like. They do offer 25 years warranty which is excellent as long as they are still in business, and they say their product will withstand rain, snow and hail.

They say I will get 3.6 Amp out of the panel in full sunshine. Does this make it less efficient than other similar panels or would this be about average?

They look ok. He probably has them manufactured for him in China. Prices are good. You could get Kyocera for about $50 more.

Price seems fair but don't know anything about him.

A place I have dealt with is Solar Blvd out of CA. They list a 60w panel for the same price.

I have seen the name Kyocera before. Is this the "benchmark" for solar panels?

Sooo many choices out there for solar panels. You want to be looking at efficiency, but you also need to decide what voltage you want on the roof (which will in turn affect your wiring and, more importantly, the type of controller you buy). Lastly look at the physical size of the panels. You want to make sure they fit on the roof with no shadows.

A couple of links for you:

Short answer is yes.

The Kyocera KD135 is probably one of the most used small panels out there. Many dealers use them because they know they wont have any issues.

Cost per watt is not much more than the cheap panels and you know it is going to work at rated spec.

I purchased a 125watt panel from them. Very pleased with the panel and service.
They are at the top of my vendor list when I add more panels.

Here are some prices I found with a quick search.

Solar Panels - Buy Solar Power Panels for Your Home or Business

Looks like you can purchase a Kyocera 135 for the price of two 60's

Hi Ronvada

I contacted the company with a view to pick up a panel in Las Vegas but they told me that all panels are shipped out of CA. The Las Vegas office only deals with paperwork - nothing else.
