Solution to one of life's problems

I love shaving in the shower (saves time and gives better shave)... but my little mirror constantly fogs up and I have to keep wiping, spraying with rainX, rubbing shaving cream, but nothing works; it just keeps fogging up.

The other morning I had a brilliant idea! New invention that could make me millions!! using a long lasting lipo battery, put a heat strip on back of mirror with a timer to come on automatically and go off after my shaving times in the morning. A hot mirror will not fog up!

Later at work I googled the idea, and rats!! Somebody had beat me to it and had a device that plumbs a mirror to the hot water side of a shower and was only $100.

Next morning, I had another brilliant idea... hot mirror!? I simply unhooked the mirror off the back my shower, held it under the hot water stream to front and back of mirror, hung it back up and started shaving. PERFECT! not a speck of fog for the whole shaving episode. The hot mirror works!!

Now, how do I make money of this?? ..

Hey, maybe we should shave and shower at the same time, but do it wearing our clothes! Then we solve the ongoing "do we use the space in the closet for a clothes washer or storage dilemma" Wait . . . then how do we DRY the clothes we are wearing . . . . Darn, another great idea shot all to . . . heck.

You know there will now be a late night infomercial about this with a remote control arm controlled by virtual reality goggles that takes the mirror of the holder, runs it hot water over the mirror, and then returns it to the holder. Only $19.99 with shipping and handling, but wait.......!!!!!!

Rub it with a potato, then wash it off. It won't fog for a long time. Old diving mask trick...

So why do you need a mirror? The only time I shave out of the shower is when the wife wants the shower NOW. And when I sport a goatee then I shave at the sink with a mirror.
Try it blind after a couple it's EZ.

Are you really saving any time. You are just running the shower longer. Unless you shave with one hand while washing the dangly parts with the other.

To the world, I am bald as a cue ball. (And I do sport a mustache and trimmed beard, like a goatee)

I shave the sides of my head, and the sides of my cheeks, in the shower. In front of the sink does not work without making a mess, if your shave includes the back of your head...

I have dealt with the mirror thing for years. I use a hand held shower head that is in the bracket most of the time for my shower, but can move it to the mirror (or anywhere else) when needed.

If the mirror is fogged up, I do not just rinse it off, as it will re-fog quickly. If you run the hot water onto it for about 20 or 30 seconds instead, it will warm the mirror well enough it will usually last the rest of the shower.

For me, however, unless I am shaving my face around my beard, I do it mostly by touch. (most of my head).

We do much the same thing, it is just that you move the mirror to the water, and I move the water to the mirror.

Good luck.

I shave at bathroom counter with a sink of water......maybe 1 gal
Course I use a double edge safety razor that can be opened and swished in the bowl to clean as I shave.

Shaving is done AFTER taking shower which is short and to the point.

Never tried the 'potato' trick........did diving in NAVY and after but we just spit into mask. Course never had potatoes around when diving and not sure WHY we would

Doesn't the oil smear on the glass? Wait . . . you meant a potato BEFORE it was made into french fries, right?
