Hi,
From what I've read Star Choice works well from Mexico to Alaska. But is their 14" oval dish big enough to do the job? I hope so cause it sure is a nice size to carry.

Thanks to anyone with experience with this.

Bob

Hey Bob
The Star Choice works well for me in Mexico. I go as far as Puerto Vallarta. I use the smaller normal dish. They have a larger "Mexico" dish which definitely works better in Mexico and is much easier to find the signal. I decided this year to go with the larger dish to get better reception and fewer interuptions. This can be purchased from Star Choice for about $90 I think it was which includes the shipping. Decision is yours. If your going to spend all winter in Mexico, the larger dish is probably your best bet, but the one you have will certainly work.
Unfortunately I cannot comment on anything in Alaska. Been RV'ing up there twice, but never turned on the TV.

We have used both, and Yes the Larger 70 CM is easier to Tune than the smaller 60CM one! We also had a Large Metal Vertical Oval model which We used for Years that was even easier to adjust. We couldn't get the HD Stations on it so have retired it! It was a whole lot less fragile than the Newe Plastic models!

Thanks Dave, That's good news! We're only going as far as AZ. this year so the smaller one'll have to do. You got a roof mount or portable? We're first timers so any help is good!
You don't take your bike down to Mex. do you? I've driven my pick-up down there before and can't imagine surviving too long on a bike! or a trike.

Thanks Rob, Good info. Small will have to do for this year. We'll see how works and may have to upgrade. Don't want to miss those hockey games!
