Rob,
You stated you swapped phones from the one you just purchased at WM for ST and that you now are using one that is on the ATT network instead.
Did I understand you correctly? Purchased yet another phone to get the ATT network? Did WM take the other phone back or ST? Just curious as I can't see throwing away a couple hundred bucks.
You seem to be happier then with the ATT network vs Verizon Perhaps that is something I need to consider as well. I was under the impression that Verizon had best nation wide coverage. Thanks for the feed back!!

We have had the Straighttalk Verizon phone for some time & it has been great. At THIS park we don't get Verizon, we have to go a mile to pick up the signal.
So we bought another Straighttalk phone, this one operates on the ATT system & works in THIS park, we just moved the number & service to the new phone.
When we leave in the spring we'll have to decide to either keep the ATT phone or swap back to the Verizon phone.
Verizon coverage has been great up to now.

Just to confuse you <g>, we have been talking about my wife's Straighttalk phone.
My phone is Virgin Mobile & runs off the Sprint system, with two different systems we have a better chance of having a working system when we travel.

I missed the 'throwing away' money part in my reply... The new phone was $168 delivered and we will be here until April probably. It was either 'throw away the money' or not have a phone that works in your house.
It was not a tough call.

I have had friends tell me to go with ST and use Verizon network. Yet others have told me like you did that they got better coverage on ST with AT&T network. You mentioned something I did not think of.
Put my wifes ST on one and my ST phone on the other one (Verizon and AT&T) and then one of us should always be able to have service.
With ST can you make a wi-fi hot spot?

I did the same about 8 months ago but I went through Kitty Wireless which is a reseller of PagePlus.

We ended up, by accident, with the same thing, one on Verizon, the other on AT&T. The reason is with st you do not get roaming privileges like when you are with Verizon on other carriers. So, if your phone uses Verizon towers, that's all you get, thus explaining why their coverage is spotty at times.

Check Craigslist for someone in your area that can unlock your phone in person.

We got better service AT THIS ONE PARK in over a year on the road.
Until here Verizon worked great.

Your Welcome.

I've now. Hanged over all 3 of our phones and have noticed no difference from when we had Verizon. It still says Verizon like it used to as well across the top left.

NO!!! Data sharing specifically prohibited with StraightTalk, and is a major drawback of their plans.
