Purchased a lightning to HDMI cable from Apple for $49 yesterday. Allows us to display videos on the coach TV's that were downloaded from Amazon and Netflix on to our Iphones and Ipads.

Seems to work well. Will probably go this route to avoid having to buy a another tablet. Have a combined storage of about 15 GB now. If we end up needing more will go the Chromecast/new tablet route.

Thanks again for the information.

Two phones for $70/month (ALL taxes & fees included). And each phone gets 50gb/month.

I’ve had this plan now for about 2 weeks & I love it.

Commercial Router

There is a commercial router made by EyeNet designed for motor coaches, trains (public transportation). It has 3 sim cards which allows it to connect to all carriers and ensures a good strong signal from the strongest one present. It is also created to connect up to 50 users and does not get weaker as you go. The cost is only $89 per month for unlimited data. The router costs more but only one time purchase, approx $799. This could stream tv, movies provide wifi and with proper app do phones.

If you read the information available on the company's website, it appears that the primary market being addressed by this company is monitoring of commercial drivers by central operations managers. The connectivity is from the vehicle to a central monitoring station. I see no evidence that video streaming on the vehicle is addressed.

EyeNet

Yes they make several components and tracking a fleet is one of them. I drive a coach for a large charter company and know they have the stand alone router. I have even checked with other bus companies as to their satisfaction of the product and they say it works as described. https://www.eyerideonline.com/products/eyenet

EyeRide

They also have an entertainment package for motor coaches like airline on demand. Each rider could watch what they want with unlimited but not practical for an RV. A campground could rent out movies with it.

The website provides no specifications about this or their other products. Since their hardware still has to operate via one or more cellular connections, it is misleading to say that it can provide a busload of users "unlimited" access.

Separate for a moment the issue of whether or not the data is unlimited, the speed of the data stream is going to be like a cellular connection shared among multiple users. Even if the router can support multiple SIMs used simultaneously, it still boils down to one or more cellular connections. There's no indication of what's unique about this.

Im just passing what I know and have seen. It can and does provide wifi for a whole bus and unlimited data. Does not throttle down with added users. It is simply WiFi on steroids designed for commercial uses.

So, with three SIM cards I guess you'd need to have an account with each provider? That would be pretty expensive. Live PD uses a similar device that uses multiple carriers to send the video back to the studio and then recombines the data to come up with one stream. It would be expensive.

Pepwave calls its "connection bonding" approach Speed Fusion and it is primarily intended for business users. However, the 3G Store has a variant that does what most of us would be interested in--bonding multiple cellular connections to create a faster, more stable one. Here's a link to what they are offering (warning, it isn't cheap): https://3gstore.com/product/5248_simply_bonding.html

Interesting. Yes, Bonded Cellular. I wouldn't think this would be needed for the average RV'er. Expensive is the word.

No. You do not need to set up with three vendors. The EyeRide is from a different "world" or arena, outside the "RV" world. Designed for commercial uses to provide fast, reliable internet as you drive in and out of main carriers service areas while 56 people on the bus just want to hook up with speed and strong signal. A router from office depot could not handle this especially 56 at a time, some with both a phone and pad. I do drive a commercial motor coach and regularly experience the passengers wanting to connect. My earnest search began when the university I work for purchased a motor coach for athletics. I discovered EyeRide and have investigated in depth, checked references and only report what I found to provide another option for those who asked about fast, reliable internet for an RV so they could work. The router is expensive compared to home routers, approximately $799 one time purchase and is easy install. The service that is unlimited data and includes the three sim cards is only $89 per month. If it interests anyone then check it out. When I go full time again I will purchase this for my rig.
EyeRide:Nationwide high-speed LTE FDD: 2100/1900/1700/850/900/2600/700MHz band Internet
Cellular signal booster
Remote-access configuration
Supports up to 100 users

If this system truly provides unlimited LTE data on three carrier for $89/mo, it would not be expensive IMO regardless of the price of the router. However, since the company's website provides virtually no information it is impossible to evaluate its product. I'm sure many people would be interested in learning more if you can provide it.

I am new here trying to learn how to best use the site, receive valuable help and info and just help a few others along the way. When I saw questions about WIFI and work I shared what I know which seemed to be resisted by some with "that cant be true". Im not selling or representing a product, just offering info that I found because of a need, have researched in depth and feel confident it is true. Now if someone has interest they can research. While I am extremely happy to share and help, the burden of proof is not on me. I see info on the site, https://www.eyerideonline.com/products/eyenet. If you want more, call. Just remember they will not talk in RV terms and will offer so much more about monitoring fleets, logs etc because they are in a different "world.'
