I've been using it for years, planning my trips and then my wife directs where I need to go when it is on the laptop. Nothing like a 17" screen going down the road! I think I'll just stay with my 2010 version this year.

My first impressions of the 2011 version compared to my 2006 version:
In the 2006 version the campground POI file includes Thousand Trails parks - the 2011 version does not. While it's not a deal-breaker since you can always find the park via address it's an annoyance.
I haven't looked in any depth to see what else is missing ...

Not sure myself
I've been using S&T for years too. 2009 was my third version. I did not get 2010, waiting for 2011. I downloaded the trial version. I been playing around with it, not sure if I'll buy the program or not. 2009 has been working fine for my needs. I have them both installed right now so I can compare them. Leaning toward not buying the 2011.

I never used this before, but downloaded the trial version. Do their maps include low bridge warnings, etc. to be used for a motorhome?

Try as I may I can't get used to Streets and Trips. I prefer Delorme Street Atlas for ease of use. It's probably a matter of what you are used to.

Everything regarding technology is what a person is used to. My thing is that if it works for you then it is fine, otherwise try something else. DeLorme is a good product There are other mapping programs out there that do fine also. I have been using MS S&T since 2005 after (notice "after") evacuating for Rita. We traveled 150 miles in 15 hours. I said then that I needed that program to be able to see side streets and other avenues of escape. A year later I purchased the GPS version. That only needs to be done once as all the versions will work with the antenna, and other antennae.
You can find "low clearance" poi's for MS S&T by searching. There are several places that have them, but they elude me right now. Before you plan a route you have to load the low clearance file then do the planning. Just remember that the information in any POI is only as good as the update and input of information so just use it as a planning guide and still watch for the "low clearance" signs.

POI Mega File - pushpin collections for truckers, RVers, and other travelers
Here is a link to the best POI's I have seen for streets and trips. There is now a version for 2010 and 2011 streets and trips.
They have poi's for several different height restrictions. You can turn on and off the poi's to suit your needs.
