My 2010 Streets and Trips has a feature that will download a planned trip to my Garmin 265WT. I've tried it but I can't seem to locate the file in the Garmin once the download is complete. I'd love for this feature to work because I have not been pleased with the routes selected by the Garmin on its own.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you create a route in S&T and use its function "transfer to GPS device" all you will get is a set of points in your "favorites" without any route info.
However, if you instead use the function "export as GPX", and you have your Garmin plugged in....S&T will send a complete route and points file into the GPX directory on your Nuvi....and you will find it by going to "my data" and importing that file name. Its a much bigger GPX file than the points only sent through the MSN process...but it appears to include the full route.

Thanks. I was using the 'transfer to GPS device' function.
I will use the export function.

If that does not work, try looking on line for the streets and trips forum. I have used that forum in the past and just like this IRV2 forum, they are a great bunch and very very helpful. Good luck and I for one would love to hear how you make out as I might try to do the same think for a trip next spring for a trip from Texas to Newfoundland to British Columbia and back to Mexico.

All the best of the season to everyone.

I have tried all the suggestions and apparently my 265WT does not support this. I can transfer the .gpx files to the Garmin and can see them on the Garmin while it is connected to the PC. However, I cannot import or otherwise access these files on the Nuvi.

Checking the manual for my Garmin, there is no mention of how to use downloaded files.

Does anyone know if there is a Garmin model that will support this feature?
