Stupid Satellite question

We have a moto executive satellite on the roof of our Coach, it is not cooperating and staying firmly in place even after turning on our RCA receiver, menu tell us it's searching then next press it states it's stowing. Meantime it's motor is running but like I mentioned it is not raising. What am I not seeing, feel pretty silly here. 😧

I have an antenna/ telescoping satellite with the cranking system that's much like you are mentioning here. Only yours has an electric motor. The elevator may need to be lubricated if it is getting stuck and not rising like it should. Have to get on the roof once a year and lubricate the track, otherwise, mine won't work. Also I'm wondering if you have a disconnected coax cable so your satellite box is not getting a signal. Check all of your electrical connections and make sure your in an area that can get service. Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for your suggestions! I passed them on to my hubby, he checked it's all good! I think our problem might bet hater haven't subscribed to a service so therefore why should our dish go up? Is this a plausible assumption?
