Tablet for RV travel

I'm looking at a new tablet. This would be for the trailer and all those important apps. Along with vehicle navigation and planning, social media, photos also audio and video consumption.

Currently have old Samsung Tab 4 (2014) and all of cell phones are Samsung. I tend to hold on to my purchases quite awhile. Also I am VZW customer, no plans on switching at this time. Not closed to changing to Apple, but I understand the Samsung features better. Also partner loves swipe to screenshot.

I do want the 10" screen, would prefer USB-C since cell phones use it. SD card would be great since may be out of cell service many times.

Also do I want an LTE tablet or just hotspot of my cell phone?

What do you recommend?

Samsung Galaxy Tab S4. DW has all Apple stuff and I personally hate it. Have both Galaxy phone and tablet. IMHO mush easier to to use.

I'm a Samsung guy and a computer guy that constantly gets called for tech support and buying advice.

I tell people if they already have an iPhone or iPad to stick with it. If they already have an Android phone or tablet to stick with an Android device.

You said Android so if your budget will allow go with the latest Samsung S6 and add the bookcover keyboard.

If you are on a budget head over to Samsung's website and work your way through their tablets until you get in your budget.

In my opinion, if you already have a phone that can be tethered or used as a hotspot you only need wifi.

If you're going to be using the tablet close to exclusively and it's in your budget get a cell phone plan with it.

Contact your current carrier, a lot of times you can get a free tablet by adding that additional line for the tablet.

Last few times I was in an AT&T store upgrading my phones they were giving away Samsung tablets or iPads.

Ditto on the Galaxy Tab A. Got one some months back from Costco on sale. Very happy with it. PS... I use an older version of the iRV2 app on it, which I like much better.
