Tailgater being discontinued?

I just had a conversation with king controls (called for tech support) and the technician made a very vague comment about king discontinuing the tailgater. He said he shouldn't have mentioned it and could not elaborate.

Anyone know what the deal is? Are they coming out with a better mousetrap or getting out of the portable business?

I hope not. Mine works very well and I've been quite happy with it.

Winegard Pathfinder X2... Bigger reflector means stronger signals..Works with both EAST and WEST arcs... Too much competition for the King Thing.

Camping World already list the new King Tailgater for $349 and another one for Direct TV called King Quest for $499.They also have a King Rover that works with both Direct and Dish TV for $597. I believe these are just updated products and the current version will work until they fail and you will need to replace with and upgraded unit. Nothing stands still anymore you either keep moving forward or you become obsolete.

Jim is correct. KING has a new Tailgater, which has the same operation as the original. The only differences are that it has a new enclosure and it can now support two receivers.
