I have just got my second copy of the 2008 Trailer Life Directory Campground Navigator from them that will not load into my computer. The software company that makes it for TL claims the disc are defective and TL is telling me they are having tech. diffuculies. I have been waiting 3 months for this software after paying them. There is some type of problem with computers that have Vista for operating system.
I contacted them for the second time in the begining of the weeek and the rep.sent me another software package and I belive she did not even no there is a problem with the software as I recived a E-Mail after talking to her that said there will be a delay in the new software till they re work the program, in the meantime today I get the second defective software. Is anyone out in RV land having this problem!!!!!!!!!!!

I have never held the TL software in high regard. The very first version was full of mistakes and the routing process always poor and lacked flexibility to route over roads we wanted to use due to various sights and interests.

The campground info was fair, but the data had numerous campgrounds mis-located by miles. In fact I remember a campground that was listed and shown to be in North Carolina when in fact it was in Illinois. Also many directions were wrong with Exit numbers, turns and road names incorrect.

Since then I have never purchased any version, but I do commend their hard copy campground listings...it is super accurate and informative!!

Save your money!

My 2008 Trailer Life Navigator works fine, but I'm running XP rather than Vista.

I just got of the phone with Good Sam( Trailer Life ) and they refunded my money and are sending a pick up tag for one of the software packages they are letting me have one to pass on to a friend that may be working in XP.They have no idea how long it will be before they have the software working in Vista. The rep. I talked to was very nice and could not tell me why this software was released with out proofing it on Vista.I guess its a head scratch away from working. OH WELL!!!!!

The 2008 version loaded okay on my XP system.
Heads up---
I had an issue with the "as supplied" version, it would only indicate there were steep road grades [but not where]. There's a new version you can download to show where the worst road grades are on your route. [version now is 8.0.00.220]
