We recently bought an rv that has a Winegard Trav'ler installed on the roof. The previous owner says he had Direct TV, we'd like to have DISH. A long time ago I used to be able to use the same satellite antenna for either provider. Now I suspicion I can no longer do that with this roof mounted automatic antenna...further wonder if it's too old for any use. It does go up and look for satellites, it seems to lock onto something, but since I have no receivers of any kind I can't be sure. It has three LNBs on it. The number on the bottom of the Winegard box in the motorhome is SKI (or 1) DUAC24244. Any info on what to do next would be appreciated.

The Traveler on your roof is designed for DirecTV only. You can buy a conversion package from Winegard to convert it to DISH Network. The Traveler was not affected by the DISH change to 8PSK coding in 2016. The conversion package cost approximately $400.

So after looking at all options I decided to see what Direct offered to rv'ers that is comparable to DISH rv service. I'm currently holding for my 6th forwarded call...good thing I'm retired. So far I've been asked if the rv moves!??? doesn't look promising.
