My Legend 1500 inverter charger stays on bulk and just boils my batteries. It is married to my remote panel, so hate to change. Do these units repair and if so does anyone know of a place around Portland???????

From what I understand, parts are not available for them. I think Xantrex bought the rights to the Hart legend but doubt they will attempt to repair it.

I changed mine out to a Xantrex RV2012 because I got a great price on it. The Legend has a single input (Leg 1) from the 50-amp panel. It has two circuit breakers on the output side of the Inverter. The RV2012 can have either one or two inputs (Leg 1 & Leg 2) but does not have any circuit breakers on the output side.

I installed a sub panel with two circuit breakers between the RV2012 output and the coach 110vac circuits which worked fine. Without modification of the inputs from the power panel to a new RV2012, tie the two output circuits together to the sub panel.

If you use a different new inverter, check out how it needs to be wired before buying it. The Legend has an internal 30-amp transfer switch where the RV2012 has an internal 50-amp transfer switch.
