Tracstar 360 antena communication error

I have had this problem and it will not go away any ideas I have reset the box but it doesn't even search for a while it goes to this every time I turn it on?

I would try calling Cobham directly. I used the tech support a few times in the past and found them very helpful. Try this link Cobham plc :: Aerospace and Security, SATCOM, Orlando, Tech Support

The only easy thing I can think of is to unplug the cable going to the display unit (with the phone jack looking connector) leave it out for 45 seconds or more then plug it back in. I have gotten some "strange" messages when this connector came loose when traveling.

Ok I heard to check the middle of the dish on a board for black grease that can cause this also check the connection on the dome it self. I will let you know if that works.

Thanks pandk I tried to find black but found nothing wrong all the connectors are are tight so I don't know from here need a expert

Ok found the problem by trouble shooting the dome it was the barrel connector coming into the dome. $2.58 and it is fixed. So far this month fixed major problems for under $5.00 got to love it.
