Tst tpms

I just got a TST TPMS 507 system from Dan and have a question about the Repeater that installs in the back of my MH. Where have others got 12 volts from?? I guess it is possible to drop down in the engine compartment and get 12 volts in the rear run bay, or can the repeater be placed in the engine compartment. I am just a little nervous about doing that....

Are you sure you need the repeater at all?

The repeater came with the 12 tire setup. I guess I thought it must be needed. I was just wondering where others got power for the antenna....

I have one but seldom need it. On our old Airstream it was needed I guess because of all the metal. With the Winnebago I don't.

I don't know the layout of your coach. On my rear bath Phaeton I came right off the 12 volt breaker panel in the closet. Soldered a wire off one of the unused breakers to a new switch I installed in the closet. There was a neg terminal block right next to it. The wire was tucked down between the sliding closet door track and face board. The repeater is velcroed to the face board. No holes and only about 1/2 inch of wire shows.
When I had our previous Allegro gasser I didn't need the repeater, I do need it with the 42 ft Phaeton in order to pick up the toad reliably.

not sure about monaco, i installed it in restroom, in a small cabinet holding bath tissues. if you see a switch controlling the restroom lights, take the switch plate out and you will see the 12v source right there.

It was suggested that I purchase the repeater as well for my truck / 5er setup. I ordered it and hooked into a receptacle in the truck. But I've tried it both with and without the repeater... and my readings are fine... so I'll be sending the repeater back.

Tst 510 rv tpms

Recently installed TST 510 Rv w 6 sensors on 2004 Georgieboy cruisemaster 3625 DS. System installed fine. Prior to install of sensors checked tire psi of 85 # all 6 tires with 2 tire gauges 1 truck style,1digital. Installed sensors all sensors showed 80 psi except 1 sensor would not read at all. Called TST sending new sensor and the sensors were reading correctly. Said my tire gauges were off +/- 2-3 psi. Anyone with same loss of psi with sensor. Sure don't want to run tire up 5 psi to compensate.

Sir,

I recommend you wire the repeater in a rear closet in front of a light or if you have a diesel pusher wire right to the batteries half way down the coach. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Mike

I found an easy way to mount mine in the bedroom ceiling. There already was a CO monitor in the ceiling and there was plenty of room to stuff the TST repeater up above it. I wired the TST into the same circuit; neither device takes much current and the monitor went right back up in its hole. You'd never know anything had been added.

I tapped off of a 12v light in a rear closet. Used the hot side before the switch.
