Free App

After doing a little research, I found that Commander Compass Lite is free.

SatFinder, too!

Android has an app called "TV Antenna Helper FREE" that I have used. It has a map function that will find all signals in the area, and their strength. I then switch it over to a compass view that lets me orient the RV to the direction of the signals. Fine tune after doing a channel search to get any marginal channels. Not perfect but it works.

I've tried several and this is my favorite. I have a Winegard crank up antenna. I put a black dot on the wheel that rotates the antenna indicating the direction the antenna is pointing. Using the compass mode I am able to quickly point in the direction of the local TV stations. Then fine tune.

The TV Fool web site will give you more information than you need. You can set an address and print a map and table. Also, .TV Towers for iPhone works very well using your current location.

This post gets a perfect 10! 1 point for content and 9 for snarkiness.
