I want to add the bedroom TV in my 30B Sunstar. The wiring is there and the wall is braced but I can’t find a bracket to hold a 19" flat screen. I have been looking around but can't seem to find one suitable for an RV. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks--

John

Sure right on time. I just bought 2 articulating mounting brackets for 22' flat screen t.v.s and below from buy.com for 35$ apiece. free shipping if you can wait 5 days. Now for my question. I want to install one on the wall behind the passenger seat. Should I be looking for a stud or would the wall itself support it. If so where would I find a diagram of the wall braces or studs?

Thanks Campingman--I have seen the ads but I am not seeing anyone advertising "for motor home use". Do I need one that locks in place? Do I need to take the TV off the bracket when traveling? You can see I am new to TV brackets---Thanks. John

Heres a suggestion. I made a box to hold the TV. The mounting bracket is screwed to the back of the box and the TV attached to the bracket. I then cut a hole in the wall to insert the box into. I attached the box to some bracing I found in the wall and hinged a picture over the box to hide the TV when not in use. The box was made out of 3/4 inch white laminated particle boad. and assuming the wall is deep enough to hold the box could be screwed in place on the other side of the wall if you don't have enough depth.
