The TV in the bedroom will come on by itself. Several times in the middle of the night I would wake up and the TV would be on. This morning the DW went in the MH when it was parked in pour drive way and she said the TV was on again.
Has anyone else had this problem and if so, any suggestions on how to fix it. Thanks

Beside having your coach exorcised, you may want to try the following:
- take the batteries out of your remote for that TV. See if it still turns on accidently. Sometimes the remotes get dropped or debris gets in the buttons causing them to malfunction.
- Press the on/off switch on the TV itself a few times. Sometimes debris gets in that switch too.

In my old coach the tv's were the same mfg and had the same remotes - I could control both sets with the controller.
How this affects you - I have no idea? Could be getting turned on by some other remote possibilty.

We had a similar problem. Turned out the remote was being "squished" by something in the pocket where it was stored and turning on the main TV while driving. It was a bit disconcerting to say the least!

A lot of the tv's now have an alarm feature on them and will turn on at a preset time.. Maybe that got activated??

I've read somewhere in IRV2 that some have had this problem caused by florescent light ballasts in their MHs.

I checked the remotes and they were laying on top of a book with nothing touching the buttons. also checked the remotes for the front TV and nothing was laying on top of them either. By the way, the TV was back on when I went back in the MH

I will take the batteries out of the remotes and see what happens. I will also check if some alarm got set by accident. If it is the florescent bulbs, do you know what they did to fix it. Thanks for everyones input and I will update you if and when i find something definite.

Hmmm . . I just remembered, I used to have that problem with the bedroom TV in the Monaco. It turned out to be a problem with the inverter briefly shutting down and turning on the TV on restart.

Same issue with my Jensen 26" LCD TV - 110v JE2608 system, and it's
not the remote,
not a timer,
not a dirty switch,
not an inverter problem (it's 120v)
not a power interupt problem.
Dealer was useless. So we just unplug it.

Looking on the net for other solutions, the following make some sense:
1. Cover up the infrared port on your TV because it may be getting extraneous signals to turn on.
2. In a dusty environment (I know my RV definitely qualifies for that!), vacuum out the back of the TV including the inside if you can get at it. The dust may be shorting a connection.
3. Sensitivity to power fluctuations. Try putting a surge protector on the outlet where the TV is plugged in.

I represent ASA Electronics, the producer of the JENSEN brand of televisions, stereos, and speakers and the Voyager brand of observation monitors and cameras. At ASA, we strive to provide excellent customer service and product satisfaction and would like to offer some assistance in this matter.
The issue you are describing as the television turning on by itself is a software issue that can be resolved through a firmware update to the television.

While not knowing which TV sets you all have that may be functioning as described, it can be guessing game to stumble onto a answer.
If you can do a reset, try it. If not the call the customer service representative for the manufacturer.
