I'm looking into installing a TV on a remote controlled lift behind the sofa in a class a. Anybody done anything like this? I have the room and need the lift mechanism. Any advice is appreciated.

Do a google search for Linear Actuators (I think that is the name) and see what you find--I think you will see what you want.

This site has some listed---look down the left margin for the links.

We used one by Nexus21. You can see our TV on their website. Bottom left of this page: Custom TV Lift - Nexus 21 TV Lifts
Only problem is that it's 52", not 60" as they said. But we're thinking about replacing the TV, and we can now get at least a 57" in that space, maybe a 60". The newer LED models are thinner and lighter than the old CFL ones, with less frame around the LCD panel.

Hello everyone, Justin here form Nexus 21. Joe referenced us in a post above this one, saying he used our lift product. Two things about that:
First: Hello to you Joe, hope you have been doing well. Thanks for pointing out our error, showing your TV size as 60” instead of 52”. We will correct that on out site right away.
Second: For any of you wanting to visit that link to see photos of the pop up TV in Joe’s vehicle, there is one extra step you have to take to see the pictures when you get to that page. Here is how to find it: Click this link http://www.tvlift.com/tv-lift-projects.html, then select the Vehicles/Boats tab at the top of the page. Once you have chosen that tab, Joe’s project is on the bottom left. If anyone has questions about TV Lifts feel free to call us. We love helping people with their projects!
