The Wingman is freshly installed. The stations previously received are much clearer. There is no pixelation or fade in and out. It also enabled the TV to get about 20 more stations! The Wingman does seem to make the old batwing much more directional. It is a good thing the TV has a signal strength meter to help aim it.

Yes, the Wingman does make the batwing much more directional. To make aiming easy get a cheap compass and use this website:
www.dtv.gov

When you open the website look for the reception maps section on the right side of the page and click on it. On the reception maps page, put in your location and a listing of digital TV stations will appear. They are listed strongest signal to weakest. Click on the station call letters and the magnetic heading to the stations transmitter will be displayed. Then just use your compass to point the Wingman directly at the station or stations. Saves a lot of searching.

We did the add-on to our Winegard and it does help. There is also a JACK antenna by King Controls that replaces the Winegard, but goes on the Winegard shaft. It just takes the place of the Winegard head; it is made for that purpose and does not have a mast of its own. Pretty clever of the company. I have seen posts about the Jack antenna and they say that aiming it is not as difficult/critical as the Winegard. Happy travels, Joe

I was getting a digital signal when it suddenly went out. Finally discovered that my computer wifi signal was blocking the TV signal.
