Didn't go anywhere to that extreme. Only mounted a couple of strips under the steps. Really do a nice job of illuminating the step treads. I saw one coach in a park that had them installed in each wheel well. Looked kind of cool at night.

Here are some old posts by Dave5942 when he installed the lights under coach, second time, and has traveled to Alaska with them.

These are not ropes, they are thin strips of LED's that can be cut evey few inches and reconnected as needed. Very low wattage and low amperage. I will post more specifics as I install them next month.

LED rope is available just about anywhere now - make sure it says LED. BigBox hardware, WalMart, and a great source are all the price club type stores. The price keeps dropping (about $15/25ft) and make sure to get LED not the traditional incandescent rope.

Shop around as some brands of LED ropes have more LEDs/foot than other brands. One way to compare is to open the box and look at the UL label on the plug end of the rope and look for the highest wattage/amperage (which will be miniscule) brand. Again, make sure to compare LED to LED.

Got my strip lights yesterday.

Why buy American when it all comes from China anyway?

How is this not gouging? They both have the ~same 6500K color rating, come on the same
type of tape reel and even the same color reel. Maybe there not the exact same thing as
mine only draw 1275 mA . Both are 5M Cool White with 300 LEDs.

Scroll down to the top on the pricing chart. $119.95 compared to $9.97, plus free shipping
and a free power connector from the Ebay lights.
