My motor home has a large dish on top and the Uniden Satellite receiver UST-2200, and I have no information on how to use either, can anyone provide me with any information of what it will take to see if this system works, again being I have no documentation on either the dish and or the receiver.

All the PO told me that he was not happy when it was install and he never was able to get any reception with it, so he did not want to help me with any of it, basically due to his frustration with it, he said it was totally worthless.

What make and model of dish (or dome)? Automatic or manual aiming?

Do you have any previous experience with satellite tv? The dish has to be aimed at the proper satellite to receive the signal, either a Directv satellite or a Dish satellite. Then the receiver processes the signal and sends to the tv via one of the tv's inputs. Until you have a subscription with either Directv or Dish, you cannot actually get tv programs, but they both have a public channel for test purposes.

I understand dish that we have in our home, having for more a long time, and yet this one is very similar to the ones that we had on the roof before we got Dish Network, never got a channel in then either, so are you telling me that this dish is worthless, because it will never bring in any channel what so ever, and that I is just a big heavy obstacle on the roof of my motor-home? Wont even work a a big TV antanna?

Why don't you get on-line and google uniden satellite reciever and see what you get. I never heard of it but I'm sure there has to be something out there, uniden is a well known name in electronics.

I have and also went to tier website but they decided not to support older equipment so they no longer provide documents for them.
