We have a 2004 Safari Trek. It came with 2 CRT TVs, a DVD player, a VCR, a Satellite receiver, attendant cabling and a Weingard switching box. In the years we have used the rig we have had to install a digital converter box for the TVs and a number of VCRs as they keet dying on us.

We would like to replace the original equipment with an up to date system.

The problem is what do we equipment do we need.

We would like to be able to record from the satellite, from cable and from over the air broadcast TV. HD TV is not important. We use Direct TV for our satellite network. Is that possible? What is involved?

Where do we start?

Thank you,

Roger1938

There are some members who have reported being able to do this but I think it's been through the use of "after market" equipment like Tivo. I don't think either Dish or Direct offers an off the shelf DVR which will record from the sat, the cable and the OTA.

Good luck...
