Version has just lowered thier cost of the 5 gig plan from $60.00 to $50.00 a month. Any gig over 5 will cost an extra $10.00 dollars instead of the $.25 per meg.

You have to call them and request the change. No contract to sign to have it lowered. They also have a plan now for 10 gig at $80.00 a month. This is new.

So anyone with the Version Air Card should make the call.

I have a Verizon USB727 which I just took out of commission. I replaced it with a MiFi Model 2500 which in my service area works at much the same speed as my 727 and the rate is $35.00 per month for 3GB. 3GB gets me just about all the data that I need.

Nope. Only if you get new equipment.

Question for me? Yes a 2 year deal but I am keeping my air card service so it doesn't matter much to me. I've been with VZ now for about 6 years.

If you all ready have an Air Card with Version and you have the 5 gig plan, you can lower the cost without signing a new two year contract. I just did it and I did not have to resign. However you do have to call. They will not tell you about other wise.

Only when you upgrade your equipment then you have to sign a new contract or pay full price.

My contract expired one year and three days ago.

Just called Verizon. At first they said they cound not reduce my bill because I had the wrong type of air card. I said I'd wait till the end of my current contract and go with someone else - quick change in their attitude - they offered to send me a new air card that would be $50/mo but they will not send one to a PO box. Since we are on the road (Parker, AZ) and use a PO box they were not much help. Never find fault with the gov. until you try to do business with a large business.

Dick, if you are able to stop at a CG for a few days, why not have them send it to the CG office address. We have had things shipped to us this way numerous times, and have not had a problem.

Version sure does not have a problem sending their bill to a PO Box.

Better deal: switch to Millenicom | High Speed Wireless Broadband -- 20GB/mo @ $60 plan.

It's only a good deal if you need the 20GB of content. You're still paying $60.00 per month. Not many VZ customers on average exceed their plan.

CaptBill, thanks but Big River RV Park will not allow us to do that which is why we set up a PO box.

John Hilley, thank you also - we will head to Lake Havasu soon and will check with them. There is a bluegrass thing there in March but we go up there a few times anyway
