There's a good chance that Verizon broadbandaccess plans starting sometime in early March will have an overage charge attached to them for every MB beyond 5 GB in a billing month.

If you have been thinking about getting verizon service, it might be best to do it quickly.

One should look very closely at the "data" coverage areas, I don't think it will work everywhere.

absolutely. coverage is king.
my warning was only for those already considering it, and who are likely to have done the coverage research.

Alex,
When did this 5 Gb limit start. It was advertised as unlimited when we signed up in July 07, but if you read the fine print, it stated 10 Gb. I know the court slapped their hands for false advertising. We use a USB720. I just checked our account under the # assigned to the 720 and found 7+ Gb usage for January. In the amount allowed, it says Unlimited

if you haven't been affected by now, its hard to say that you will BE affected if/when anything changes in march. thats the problem. there are lots of rumors/warnings, but nothing definite. even those who have seen official documents suspect that decicions MIGHT change at the last minute.
