Verizon Prepaid Support is Slim to None

I started the unlimited prepaid $65 plan about six weeks ago. Recently, I have tried logging into the Verizon account I created for that purpose prior to starting the plan. It does not show my hotspot so I tried to add it. It says the hotspot number is assigned elsewhere. I can't get any usage info as any request says that feature is not currently available. So I called the support number and got the usual menu that didn't address my issue, but once I entered my hot spot number I was told there is no in person response for prepaid users. "We're sorry you're having problems. Goodbye."
So I can't even talk to someone to find out how to manage my account.

i called the “regular” verizon number (611) and then asked to be transfered to pre-paid support. i spoke with a “peggy” who i suspect was offshore but was able to assist me. give that a try.

i strongly suspect that the VZW pre-paid is being offered by a different company under the VZW umbrella.

Try walking into a Verizon store or affiliate.

I can only speak for myself, but the only way I could get an online account for my prepaid unlimited account was to to have a CSR create the account and then send me an email "inviting" me to log into it. Otherwise, the "normal" process involves sending and receiving texts which you can't do on a data only account that doesn't have a phone associated with it.

Thanks for the input, guys. The MyVerizon app wants a login as well, but it must be for the contract folks. The only thing I really want is to change from a credit card to a debit card. Going to a VZW store may be the best way to do that.

I had the same issue as well. Called this past weekend and an incredibly nice lady helped me through it and create an account and email it to me. In fact, and I was shocked, she had to call me back so I could set up a new email address (long story, nothing on Verizons side). She said she would call me in 30 minutes and darned if I didn't get a call back in 30.

Do make sure you let them know you need prepaid help. Good luck

I also am having problems. I couldn't get an online account, with the number. It said the number wasn't a correct. After the 1st month, I got an email, that I neededd to pay for the next month. I went to the store to pay the bill & they gave me a new sim/number & they couldn't get it to work, either.

Today, I tried again, after reading the plan wasn't available anymore. I was afraid they'd take it away from me, if I didn't pay for this month. I powered up the hotspot & had a message that it needed to be paid. I didn't get an email, this month. It liked the number when I paid the bill. I got a conformation message that it worked & had Internet again. I put the number in to register, again & never got the text. I guess I'll have to go the the store. At the very least I can get on the auto pay, so I can save the $5 a month.

Since I haven't established an account, that site doesn't work for me. If I click register, it takes me to where I tried before. My hotspot doesn't receive their text, with a pin, for me to register.

Thanks for trying though.

Thanks, but I have a feeling it will get me to the same clueless, script readers, in India, I've talked to before. I think I'll just go to the Verizon store & have them set me up with auto pay & call it a day.

I don't have mobile service with Verizon, so the 611 call won't work, for me.
