Verizon smpt Service

I wasn't able to SEND e-mails because the password associated with Verizon mail service would not work. I contacted Verizon and we went through a password reset and all was fine, EXCEPT the next words out of the Verizon assistant was they were shutting down their outgoing e-mail service as of August 29 2009.
This may not affect a lot of people but I'll guarantee it will be a surprise for the people that use it. I ask as to when I was notified about this and she had no idea a notification has ever taken place.
Again, Verizion may have good coverage, but, their customer relations are badly lacking.

You are right. customer service sucks. I wrote a letter to the boss person of customer service at verizon over 2 years ago. still waiting for a reply. must be a whole bunch of letters in front of mine.
