We have had Verizon wireless for 2 months now. Have used it from Maryland,NJ, and down to Fl and works great. Going down the road my wife checks E mails and can do our Banking moving. 60 bucks a month is the cost. But no big dish to buy. Not DSL but in some areas faster then DSL but most of the time faster then Dial up.
But using going down the road is great.

We moved to Verizon three months ago. We use the Broadband card in our laptop and arehappy with it so far. At home(central Ohio) it has been great. Coming to Florida and being in central Florida for the past 3 weeks, it has been good also, but perhaps not quite as fast. We have not used the slower dial-up that is part of the package. We also haven't tried it while driving. Our dog thinks she has first choice on space in the van.

Verizon doesn't seem to have any better service than the Cingular we had for many years, but we can talk to more relatives with free mobile to mobile Verizon minutes.

We do most of our banking and bill paying online.

Good luck.

Frank

I agree the Verizon service is great I have been using it for about 2 years now while I go to school online. The wife did not want to give up camping while I work on my degree so Verizon has made both possible. It sure beats sitting around the camground office phone line or standing on your head trying to get that weak WiFi signal in the few places that have WiFI.
It also works great for streaming music from Napster

Have been using Verizon for over 2 years. Half the time I am in eastern NC and it doesn't work there. You do get service from a "partner" but the extra bells and whistles don't work, including vzw/internet. The other half of my time is in MD and CA, works great there. Tried to cancel my wifes line since she doesn't travel anymore, they wanted to charge me 175 bucks even though we had the service for 3 mos shy of the 2 year contracts. A half dozen phone calls and they finally agreed that they would "forgive" the fee.

I will probably stay with them but be carefull about the "fine print" when switching plans.
