video switchbox probs

I have the old style Winegard video switchbox. Recently the tv will not pick up ANY stations, and displays NO SIGNAL or WEAK SIGNAL. Input from the DVD player works fine. I have 12 volts at the connector at the rooftop antenna, but zero volts at the connector going to the tv. Shouldn't I have some voltage on the coax going to the tv?

The most likely culprit is the barrel connector that screws onto the antenna. Those are prone to corrosion and over time their ability to pass signals degrades. Before I would spend a lot of time looking for anything else I would change it out and see if your problem resolves itself. No you should not have any voltage on the inbound line from the rooftop antenna to your TV.
