I'd like to be able to see my campground reservation site number in real time other than just getting a picture of the campground. I thought I'd done this in the past but all I get are google and yahoo map directions to get there.

Would it be too terribly complicated to explain in plain ole language here how and what I'm trying to do? Would really appreciate some help.

What campground are you talking about? If they have web cameras all around the campsites showing them in real time, it doesn't sound like you'd have much privacy in such a place. Make sure you keep the shades down!

I think you might be trying to do Google "street view"? Are you looking for a "drive by" photo of the site?

Yes,, drive-by might be a better explanation of what i want to see. Kind of like from above. I used to be able to find my house and see the MH setting in the back yard, not necessarily at that very moment, but I can't seem to remember how I did that. Kind of like a satellite picture. Does that may any sense at all?

Yes. You're looking for Google Street view. It's not going to be available everywhere...
You want to go to:
http://maps.google.com

Search for the address.
Lower left hand corner, choose satellite view.
Click on a road, in the upper left you should see a "street view" option.

Note for private campgrounds, this "view" may not be available... It should show you most public streets.

As stated, Google Street View is not real time and limited to public highways. Google does not go onto private property with their roof mounted cameras. Satellite view might also be quite old, it is often months to even years old in some cases.

Ha. shades up and lights on. they will not more than once i am sure. If they do i find the webcam operator and work out my rates.

Wagonmaster, Google street view will probably not take you inside the park. It is only inclusive of public ways. You want to try Bing maps and use the "bird's eye view". Some locations have better and closer views than others. If you refer to the park map you can generally get an idea of the site location.
