Can someone out there tell me what a NAS SCD-1UT2 is and how it works? I recently purchased a 2004 Allegro Bay with a King Dome Satellite installed and was going to add my two Dish Network recievers, but couldn't find any cables, so I removed the TV and found the tuner for the King Dome and traced the cable (the one that WAS to go to the Dish Network reciever) going to a box I've no idea what it is. Anyone out there know what I've got here? It's called a NAS SCD-1UT2 an has an input (cable coming from King Dome tuner attached) an two outputs going to front and rear TV's. Now tell me is this a NEW product from Dish Network I didn't know about and already installed and thus I don't need my recievers?

It would appear to be a signal splitter. Are the two outputs connected directly to the TV's? Or just laying there and to be connected to the Dish receiver(s)?

John,

I believe that it is a separator and will feed the dual inputs on the back of the satellite receiver. You should see one input and two outputs on the UT2. Plug one into sat tuner one input, and the other into sat two input and see if you have dual tuner PIP, etc.,

You mentioned that you have two satellite receivers. Output one could go to one receiver and output two could go to the other receiver.

You didn't mention the model on your receivers and that would help. Is one a dual tuner? Does it have two satellite antenna inputs and one "distribution out" jack? That's a different setup and you would only need one receiver to feed two televisions with independent channels on each television. At least, I could with the old King Dome dual tuners that I had.

Good luck.

The first Kingdome antennas only had a single cable output that carried a dual multiplexed signal. In order to get two signals out of the antenna it required you to add the box you are talking about that separated the multiplexed signal into 2 usable signals for TV inputs.
Later the design changed and they ran 2 physical cables from the roof antenna to the inside of the coach and this box was no longer needed to obtain dual output form the satellite antenna. The initial single cable design was problematic which was the reason for the design change.
