What Is It?

Just found this "stub" on the top of my 2002 Monaco Dynasty. Best guess is it's some kind of antenna base.

Any other ideas?

It is a low profile antenna. It could be a dummy load but not likely.

The chrome piece would come off if the sealant was not holding it in place. The part with the two dimples has a place to use a special tool or long nose pliars to hold it while a brass ring is tightened or removed. The square area covered with sealer is probaby a piece of metal used to mount the antenna base because the fiberglass is too thick for this standard "Motorola Mount".

UHF Mobile Radio

So at some point in the past, my coach was equipped with a UHF mobile radio. I can only assume a previous owner was a ham radio operator. I'll try to trace the lead, but I think I'll just leave it in place.

Thanks, YC1!

It is a cellphone external antenna; as shown in the owners manual.
