We have both, the Traveler (SK3005HD) as well as a King Dome in motion.

The King Dome is used for while traveling down the road and the Traveler is used once we set up camp and want HD.

Ok I have finally got into identifying coax cables behind the TV. I have a bunch of them. I have found two from the direct tv winegaurd labeled at position a and c on the sat dish i haven't found the b wire inside yet. Also I have found the coax for the in motion sat dome. There were two of these switchers with coax running into them. I hope to get this tragic tended out because I would love to use my dish.

Any idea what these switches are used for. They are labeled a or b, with three coax inputs on the back. I have three locations for a tv up front, in the bedroom and outside. I have found two of these switches.

Those are almost certainly the switches set up so you can pick which sat antenna goes into each receiver. A will be one dish, B the other. The A and B coax cables off the back will go to the dishes, and the common (middle) coax from the switch will go to your sat receiver.

Flying diver thank you

I also have three different coax coming off the stationary sat into the Rv and one coming out of the in motion. I think I should remove all the switches, label all the coax cables and start over. I look back behind the tv now and get confused by all of the wire :screaming done thing I shouldn't say.

The previous owner knew what it was because he started from the simpler one input to one output and expand from there

You might be heading in the right direction to start over...

but, if it's all coax, go to an electronics store and get you a toner so that you can send a tone down one cable at a time and label them

here's an oldie but goodie that I've used for a LONG time
Amazon.com: Extech 40180 Tone Generator and Amplifier Probe Circuit Finder Kit: Home Improvement

To answer your question about the Two dishes. The one dome is an automatic dish and by your descriptions programmed for Direct tv. It may be an in motion dish that is able to track while driving. The Traveler was probably added to provide High Def when parked. None of the KVH dishes provide High Def on Direct TV. Yes they originially had some that were set up to do that but Direct TV moved their high def channels and put a crimp in the KVH product line. Getting a dish to lock on the high def satellites takes some real finesse and hence the greater expense. I carry a portable dish because often I am in the trees and have to find a tiny opening.
