We travel with a laptop, and find many of the campgrounds that advertise wifi have such a weak signal that it is not usable in our rig. Is there a simple device on the market that will pick up a weak signal and amplify it so our laptop will be able to use it? Thanks for any help.

Its called a Repeater. It looks like a stand alone wifi antenna with a box. Its job is to repeat the signal and boost it. However, it may or may not work depending on how weak the signal is. Remember, those little internal Wifi recievers in laptops already have a fairly limited range because they do not have external antennas. In your case, the booster might help, but it'll be dependant on the campground's network, and how weak the signal is.
