Wifi Ranger-Paired-SSID-Mobile ?

I have the wifiranger go2 + Mobile. Just upgraded both to the new version, successfully paired them, successfully renamed the default SSID and PW on to Go2, but... i can't seem to find the place to change the SSID and default PW on the mobile unit.
Even on the main screen, where i select the mobile unit, then go to the wifi tab, it still shows the SSID and PW for the go2.

do i need to re-pair via wifi, change it, then re-pair via ethernet (current setup)?
thnx in advance.

Mike:

You can access the control panel for the Mobile from the Setup Tab of the Go2's control panel. On the Setup page look for the WFRControl line and the link that says (in blue letters) View WFRControl Panel. Click on that link and that will open new browser tab with the Mobile's control panel. From there you can change anything you wish.

One thing you might consider is turning off the SSID for the Mobile. It's not needed, all your devices can connect to the Go2 which lets the radio in the Mobile focus on a single job which is connecting to the wifi access point. By letting each radio do one job you will get slightly higher throughput.

To do this, go to the WiFi tab of the Mobile's control panel (the one you just opened using my instructions) and switch Private Wireless Network to OFF and then Save. The SSID from the Mobile will disappear but the Go2's will remain. BE SURE YOU DON'T DO THIS TO THE GO2'S CONTROL PANEL.

How well does it work? What are the pros and cons of the system?

That's a rather broad, open-ended question. WiFi repeater/amplifier systems can significantly improve your ability to connect to a wifi access point but no system can make a poor, over-loaded system perform well.
