Wilson Sleek 4g

Is it possible to use 2 of these at the same time without issue? One for my hotspot and one for my cell?

I don't see any reason for a problem. The Sleek uses an external antenna to receive the signal, then amplifies the signal and apparently re-transmits it to your device. The hot spot or phone has to be popped into the Sleek (we hold out Pantech modem in place with rubber bands) because the receiving antenna of the device has to be in close proximity to the Sleek in order to receive the amplified signal. I don't think the signal from the Sleek is strong enough to interfere with the second Sleek if that's what you're worried about.

The 3GStore sells the Wilson Sleek. Their price may be a little higher than you can find elsewhere, but the 3GStore provides excellent customer service. Try calling or e-mailing them with your question.

Looking at the Wilson Sleek information, I noticed it indicates it is for 3G and 2G data. No mention of using 4G. I also wonder if this device can be used on fiberglass or rubber roofs?

Also this bit of interesting information found on the Wilson website:

Quote:
This is a CONSUMER device.
BEFORE USE, you MUST REGISTER THIS DEVICE with your wireless provider and have your provider’s consent. Most wireless providers consent to the use of signal boosters. Some providers may not consent to the use of this device on their network. If you are unsure, contact your provider. You MUST operate this device with approved antennas and cables as specified by the manufacturer. Antennas MUST be installed at least 20 cm (8 inches) from any person. You MUST cease operating this device immediately if requested by the FCC or a licensed wireless service provider.
WARNING. E911 location information may not be provided or may be inaccurate for calls served by using this device. Please note, the four largest carriers, namely, AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon and Sprint, and more than 90 regional carriers have given a blanket consent to all boosters meeting the new certification standards.

You're looking at the older model. Here's the 4G Sleek:
Amazon.com: Wilson Electronics Sleek 4G - Vehicle Cellular Signal Booster for Single User - Retail Packaging - Black: Cell Phones & Accessories

As for using it with a non-metallic roof, I simply purchased a small piece of stainless that a magnet can stick to (magnetic and non-magnetic stainless both exist) and glued it to the roof with the double-sided tape used to attach automotive trim. My antenna holds to the metal piece just fine.

Thanks for the information and links!

Which is why I am forced to have phones and hotspots with both AT&T as well as Verizon. I still run a business...............just do it now from wherever I am parked.

FWIW the sleek will provide its signal to any device in proximity. I put the hotspot in the cradle and prop the cell phone next to it, both receive the amplified signal. IOW, no need to buy a second one.

We have the Wilson Sleek and put our JetPack in it.....never had any problems with the signal for internet or phones. I use the 12" outside magnetic antenna.

I wish that would work for me just to save a few $$$$. My SoHo Router tethered to my Jetpack is in the bedroom/office of the coach, and I need something up front for my cell phone while driving. The only thing I am retired from is the desk at my office, my desk now travels

My understanding is that Wilson is supposed to be coming out with an antenna for in the RV that will allow full coverage and not require yo to be within a few feet of it. I contacted them earlier in the year and I thought that should be out by now.

I'm waiting for Maximum Signal to come out with their 4G RV booster to see how it compares with the Wilson offerings.
