I installed a SD winegard dome this month and was having some trouble with some channels not being purchased. Come to find out, it was me!
There is a switch lableled Stationary on the OFF side And in motion on the on side. I would turn tht switch on (per directions) and let the dish find the satellites. Then dutifully, I would turn the power switch off to the stationary as that is the model I have. You guessed it, turning the power off keeps the dish from automatically switching to a different satellite when channel changing. Leave it on and the dome seems to be working great so far. I'm in a fairly clear area with rain on one day so far and has worked properly.
Installation per instructions took about 2 hours alone.
