I just purchased a 2005 RV with a wineguard satellite dish. I’ve seen a lot of info that the wineguard is not compatible with DTV HD. I’ve also heard talk that there’s a chip that will make the wineguard compatible with DTV HD. Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks in advance.

I'm guessing that you have the Winegard ASC2003 dish. If that's the case, it is not capable of getting HD from either carrier and I don't think there's any "chip" which will help.

Ricks correct. The AS-2003 is a single satellite antenna that is not supported in any way anymore, and there are no magic chipsets to fix it's shortcomings. Do yourself a favor and replace it with a Traveler SK-3005. It's a 4 output HD compatible antenna and it's rock-solid.

Appreciate the info. I really like DTV and want to keep it on the road.
